The Melbourne Argus of the 22nd inst. reports:— Flour has a good demand, and best country brands are saleable, for trade purposes, at £11 to £11 2s 6d. A line of an outside parcel, about 35 tons, has changed hands at £10 10s. We are without any Bales of wheat to report ; inquiries, however, are experienced, which will lead to business. Quotations are steady at 5s 5d to 5s 6d. Oata are steady at 3s 4d to 3s 7d for common to good feeding. At the last named a parcel of 300 bags has been disposed of. Maize is going off quietly at 5s 6d. The market is still barely supplied, and there is very little coming forward. Sales of fair malting barley are making at 4s. Bran and pollard are firmer. Mauritius sugars are moving quietly. Trade Bales of whites are reported at £35 to £35 ss.
