MR BAIN AT WAIANIWA:
Mr Bain met the electors last night in the schoolhouse, Waianiwa. Between 50 and 60 were present. Mr James Wilson -was called lo the chair. . Mr Bain spokefor an hour and a quarter on general questions of politics, and thereafter underwent: , an unusually prolonged course of catechizing. The principal topic was the incidence of the property tax. The Licensing Act was another subject, t(f« getaer with Protection and the taxation of unimproved land.
