Gentlemen, — As many old fellow workers in the Liberal canse have asked me to continue the contest at the coming electon ; and as I believe I have devoted more time and thought to advance Liberalism than any other resident in the Mataura district, I beg to announce that I am a candidate for the representation of the proposed Awarua district. I hope all true Liberals will consider that my past services entitle me to receive their support; At a future time I shall state when and where I will address you.
