Mr S. P. Andrews, M.H.R. (Greyite), addressed the electors of Christchurch North last night, and received a vote of confidence. ;It is currently reported at Riverton that Dr Hodgkinson and Mr Johnstone, of Wrey's Bush, intend to offer their services to the electors of New Wallace. This, says a correspondent, will cause a fresh split in the camp, both candidates having many friends and supporters in their own particular districts. Canvassing is being actively carried on both by Mr Hirst's and Mr Daniel's supporters.
