Log-an Wilson's Sheep Dip COLONIAL SHEEP DIP Sole Proprietor and Manufacturer — J. LOGAN WILSON, *3° RYAL BUSH, INVERCARGILL. Sole Agents for New Zealand, and Australia — The New Zealand Loan k Mercantile Agbncy Co. ; Invercargill Branch, Esk street, John Turnbull, Manager. THE necessity •_ dipping the flock once or in some cases twice in each season h:ts been so apparent and profitable of late years, inasmuch as it improves the health of the sheep, cleans the skin, and at the same time invigorates and improves the wool, that it devolves upon us now more to provide for the necessities of flock-owners thau it does to discuss these accepted facts; and it is gratifying to see that so far our endeavors are proving an unqualified success. The special advantages of using Logan "Wilson's Colonial Sheep Dip are shown by testimonials, which conclusively prove that it fulfills all that is claimed for it. Being now manufactured by the proprietor every care will be taken to avoid the unequalness of strength tbat has been complained of as previously made. The materials are imported direct from London, and as the N. Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company docs the largest business in wool, produce, and farm and station requisites in the Australian colonies, the supply this season will doubtless bxcell in quality that of previous years. The largely increased demand gives us confidence in assuming that ere long the bulk of money expended in this necessary work (Dipping) will remain, as it should, in the colony. Hence the name Colonial Hlteep Dip. Which kills all tick and lice, withaut injury to the sheep or woo. ls a more lasting Dip than any yet introduced. Makes the skin perfectly clean and healthy. Has not yet been known to injure in any way the general health of the sheep. Does not darken the wool, as all of the preparations do which contain more or less of Carbolic Acid, or other extract of vegetable or mineral tar, and wrongly called '•non-poisonous," as no dip can be actually prepared that, if used in too strong a solution, would not injure the flock. It will compare in cheapness with all other Dips now offered to flock-owners. The proprietor is prepared to prove all he states in its favor, and will attend gratuitously on stations or farms to superintend the dipping, when started, for a day or more as required. Prepared in drums containing 5 and 10 gallons, or in casks of 25 and 30 gallons each. One drum of 5 gallons will dip from 250 to 400 sheep, according to length of wool. Can be used with cold or warm water. Packages allowed for in full on receipt, at Invercargill wharf or railway station, in good order. PRICES. Single drum of five gallons, 30s ; in parcels of twenty gallons, 5s per gallon, and packages chareed. 100 gallons or over, 4s. 6d. per gallon and packages charged. Special quotations to companies and the trade. J. LOGAN WILSON, Proprietor. N. Z. LOAN k MERCANTILE AGENCY COMPANY, Agents. Following are a few of tke testimonials above referred to : — February 20th, 1880. Dbar Sirs, — For a period of two years I have itensively used Logan Wilson's Sheep Dip as manufactured by yourselves, and I have no hesitation in pronouncing it by far the most efficacious preparation for destroying lice and ticks on sheep of which I '-have had experience. I generally pass the flocks through the dip in March, and, with your dip, I find < them perfectly free from vermin at shearing time in November following. Whilst it is exceedingly easy of application, I have never found it injurious to the health of the animal or to the wool, and it compares rery favorably indeed witn other preparations of the kind raj garding cost. Yours faithfully. W. HAY, Manager Edendale Estate, Invercargill, January 7th, 1881. Dbak Sirs,— Having largely used your Logan Wilson's Sheep Dip, and applied it to sheep that were very much infected with lice and tick, one dipping, as per quantities recommended by you, had a very beneficial efEect. and the wool afterwards having a sound glossy appearance.
