THE REPRESENTATION BILL.

[By Telegraph.] (FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Wellington, Thursday. The Representation Bill cont-iins eleven clauses, and provides that the Ilimso shall consist of. *J0 members in addition to four Maori members. The colony is divided into 89 electoral districts; maps of districts are to be prepared by the Colonial Secretary. The Act comes into operation after the dissolution or expiration of the present Parliament; within thirty days thereafter the Registrar appointed for each district is to make out new electoral rolls as provided for by the Act of 1879. For the purpose of forming such rolls the following provisions are to have effect: — (1.) The electoral rolls in force on the day when the Act comes into operation shall be the rolls from which the new rolls shall be formed. (2.) The Registrar shall place on the new roll the name of every elector registered on any electoral roll whose qnalifipation in respect of freehold estate or residence' is within the district for which' such new roll is to be formed : provided that, if any elector on the original 101 lis registered in respect of freehold estate, situate in two or more districts, the Registrar may, in formiug the rolls, omit the name of such elector from the roll of either one or more of the new electoral districts in which such elector may not appear to the Registrar to have a sufficient electoral qualification. (3.) The provisions of the seventh to the 'twenty-fifth, sections of the Registration of Electors Act, 1879,. both -inclusive, shall not apply to any roll termed under this Act. (4.) Except for the purpose of giving effect to this Act, no nahiSs shall be added to au •lectpral roll formed under this Act after it comes into operation, until the expiration of the time limited for the return of writs at the general election upon the expiration cv* dissolution df the present Parliament. ($.) Except where the provisions of this Act are inconsistent, or express provision : is otherwise made, every roll formed under this AQt shall be deemed to have been formed under the Registration of Electors Act,' 1879. (6.) Notice of rolls is to be gazetted, and writs for the election of members ia the ensuing Parliament shall be issued for all electoral districts constituted under this Act as 6»on as conveniently may be after the fact of the formation of the new rolls has been published as provided for. The following, are the electoral districts: — Mataura, one member: This district is bounded towards the n jrth by the northern boundary line of the " Two Thousand AjCie "Block," proceeding from a point due north of the source of the Hedgehope stream to Mataura river; towards the west by the Mataura river to a point due west of the Pyramids, thence again towards the north by a right line running due east to the Pomahaka river, thence towards the east by said r'rver and by the Waipahi river to its source, thence by a right line to Catlins Cone, thence by the summit of the Watershed over Catlins Cone, Bleak Hill, and Black Horn, to Chaslands Mistake, thenc« towards the south by the ocean to a point due south of trig. station L, Oteramika Hundred-, towards the west liy right lines through trig, stations L, M, E, and J, in said Hundred, and trig. station T, Lothian Survey District, thence by a right line running due north to the Hedgehope stream, and thence by that stream to its source, and by a right line due north to the starting point. — Awarua, one member : This district is bounded towards the north-west by the Oreti, Makarewa, and Hedgehope rivers ; towards the east by the Mataura electoral district ; towards the south by the ocean ; And towards the west by the New River Estuary, exclusive of the district of Invercargfll. — Invercargiil, one member : Tlu6 district is bojnded towards the north by the Weihopai river ; towards the east by section N0. .36, block 1, Invercargiil Hundred ; again towards the north by sections 36, 37, and 38 ; again towards the east by sections 35, 34, and 6 ; towards the southcist by sections 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ; again towards the east by sections 1, 8, and 14, block 1, of said Hundred ; towards the gouth by section 1, block 3, of said Hundred ; and towards the west by the New River estuary. — Riverton, one member : This district is bounded toward. " , rth by the northern boundary line of Aparima Hundred, and by the northern boundary line of the block of land kntwn as the 'Two Thousand Acre Block," to a point due north of the source of the Hedgehope stream ; towards the east by a line due south to the said stream, then by the said stream, Makarewa river, and Oreti river to the ocean ; towards the soutKT>y'tHe" ocean Co western boundary of Jacobs River Hundred ; and towards the west by a right line running due nortli to the north-west corner of Aparima Hundred. Wallace, one member: This district "is .bounded towards the north by the Wakatip - Sectoral district from the Bea to Lome 1 w,:., thence by a right line to Rocky Mount, thence towards the east by a right line to Whitecombe, thence by the summit of (Umbrella mountains to a point due east of -the- Pyramids, thence towards the south by a. right line tlirough the Pyramids to Mataura river ; thence again towards the east by the Mataura river to a point due east of the northern boundary of the "Two Thousand Acre Block;" thtence again towards the south by a right line due "west to the western boundary of Apaiima Hundred ; again towards the east by a line due south to the. ocean; again towards the south and towards the. west by 'the ocean, including Stewart Island, Ruapukc, and other adjacent islands. — Wakatipu, one member : This district is bounded towards the north by a right line from the mouth of the Awarua (^Haast) river to Mount Aspiring, thence; tyjw aids the north-west by the sum-
