WHITMORE, I Having acquired" from various artists a number of handsome and valuable works of art in oil and water-colors, ,and from several celebrated "publishers a collection of the most choice oleographs and ckromos, purposes disposing of the same to the public on the Art Union principle. Every subscriber will receive a prize, and while the whole of the works to be disributed are of first-class quality, several are really valuable, and possess a special interest from the fact of their depicting some of the finest scenes in New Zealand. : _■>••>; ; Arrangements, have also been concluded with Messrs; Hart, and Campbell to supply photographs specially taken for this Art Union of the Lakes Wakatip, .ManaporyWanaka, -Hayes' JELiwea, and other places ' of interest lErougliout the Middle Island. These photographs are by far the largest and most handsome that have ever been published in the colony, and the high standing and great experience of Messrs Hart and Campbell in th.c photographic, profession is sufficient assurance that they will be artistically perfect. The whole of the pictures distributed will be framed in suitable mouldings. SEVERAL OF THE OIL-PAINTINGS, WATER-COLGRS,i OLEOGRAPHS, ANDCHROMOS, ARE NOW ON VIEW AT MRWHITMORE'S ESTABLISHMENT, AND THE COMPLETE COLLECTION OF PHIZES WILL BE ON EXHIBITION IN A FEW DAYS.
