TAKE NOTICE That the above Borough intends to make, on Monday, the 14th day of April, 1879, at a special meeting, the following rates : — 1. A General Rate for the year commencing April Ist, 1879, and ending 31st March, 1880, of one shilling (Is) in the pound : upon the value of the rateable property as appearing in the valuation roll for the time being in force in respect of the above borough, the seid rate to be payable in one sum on the first day of May, 1879. 2. By special order, an annually recurring Special Rate of one shilling in the pound 'upon the value of the rateable property as appearing in the said valuation roll, such special rate to be for the period commencing April Ist, 1879, and to be payable half-yearly, on the Ist May and Ist November in each year. Further, the Rate Book is open for inspection by all ratepayers at the Town Clerk's office, comer of Mary and Yarrow streets, daily, between the hour 3of 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. W. G.
