_. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION'S SPECIAL WIRE.) SYDNEY. Jan\ 28. New South Wales won the cricket match against the English team by one run and five wickets to fall. Two hundred and twentysix were made iv the second innings, of which Massy, not out, contributed 83, and C. Bannerman, not out, 61. Despite the injury to his hand Bannerman batted splendidly. The Bulii lock-out has been settled by permission being accorded the miners to join the union, with, however, certain reservations in favor of the employers. At the anniversary regatta yesterday the Sydney yacht Magic beat the New Zealand yacht v Waitangi by 12 minutes in a race round the harbor. The Magic's time was 3h. 33m.
