QUEENSLAND.
The trustees of the Brisbane museum have received a communication from M. Charman, a scientist at Paris, and a leading gentleman on anthropological subjects. M. Charman says lhat the skulls of Queensland natives are of peculiar' formation, and of great interest in the cause of science..
The Queenslander Exploring Expedition consisting of M. Favance^ leader, Mr Briggs, surveyor, and Hedley, arrived at Powell's -Creek on the 12th instant. They report the country :as,; being very dry, little rain having fallen for' two years. They found a large tract of flooded* countiy between latitudes lSdeg. and 19deg., with creeks flowing from the Herbert watershed westward, numerous shallow lagoons also being discovered. The expedition could not make direct for Daly Raters fojc want of, water, and "they/ intend going.on-'nO miles north along- the line and striking across to cut a track, and then returning to Port Darwin.
