Writing on the 16th inst.; our c'orres . ponderit says :—-I regret to report a case of very sudden death which occurred at Oreti yesterday at about 12 o'clock. It appears that: a man named James Atkinson, who was employed loading, one of the; trucks in the goods-shed, took suddenly ill,' arid learied over - a bag. A very large congregation;'.attended from the surrounding district,: some coming; a distance of over twenty miles. It is extraordinary that,: -seeing the number of -Roman Catholics in the surrounding district, a church has not been established long since. '
