Neil Buckridge recently arreated on suspicion was brought up to-day on two separate charges. After taking a great deal of evidence the prisoner was committed for trial on both charges. A Swindler One Jacobsen alias Count MouraviefF, was committed for trial on the charge of obtaining money by means of valueless cheques. He passed himself off as a Russian Count who waa making an official tour of the colony to report upon it. Fatal Accident An extraordinary death occurred at the Theatre Royal Hotel on Sunday night. Just as tho lodgers were about to retire to bed, one of them, a young man named James Shcarn, fell from the oval aperture in the upstairs floor on to his head on the billiard table in the room below. The moment before he was chatting pleasantly with the others. He died a few hours afterwards. „
