SYDNEY, March 9. The Pacific Mail steamer City of Sydney was quarantined to-day owing to a sick seaman discovering symptoms supposed to be those of smallpox. The ship Colonist is on the berth for New Guinea. A. number of passengers have engaged by her. She takes provisions for a period of six months.
