Hack Race of 15 boys ; heats, once round the course ; winner to be sold for £20, and any surplus to go to the Race Fund j catch weights ; post entry ; entrance 15s. SECOND DAY— FRIDAY, 17th MARCH. Handicap Hitedle Race of 25 soys, with a sweepstake of two guineas each added ; twice round the course, and over eight flights of hurdles, about 3ft 9in high ; nomination 20s ; acceptances 20s. Intebcabgill Handicap of 60 aovs, with a Bweepstake of £3 3s each added ; two miles ) nomination 30s ; acceptances 30s, Selling Race of 25 boys j one mile and a quarter ; weight for age ; if entered to be sold for £30, allowed 71bs ; £25, 141bs ; £20, 211bs ; £15, 28iba j entrance 30s. Consolation Handicap of 20 sovb ; once round the course and a distance j for all beaten horses during the meeting ; entrance 30s. Hack Race of 10 soys ; once round the course j winner to be sold for £20, any surplus to go to Race Fund ; no weight under Set ; post entry j entrance 10s. Qualifications and nominations for the Ladies' Purse, Invercargill- Derby, Publicans', Hurdle, and Invercargill Handicaps will be received by the Secretary, in sealed covers addressed to him at Southland Club, Invercargill, up to 8 o'olook p.m. on Wednesday, Btb, March. Weights (Invercargill Handicap excepted, which will be declared on night of first day's racing) to be published in Southland Times and Southland News of 9th March. Geneval entries to be made to the Secretary as above on Wednesday, 15th March, before 8 o'clock p.m., with description and age of all horses and colors of the riders. R?l?s aio> Regulations. No entries will be received for any of the Races except upon these conditions, that all claims and objections aris 3ig out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme shall be final. In the event of any person entering a protest, a sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary, or one of the Stewards, before any such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds of the Club, should the Stewards consider the protect frivolous or vexatiou?. Rules of &c Dunedin Jockey Club strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of two guineas to the race fund, Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross moneys paid in accordance with the programme for expenses. Three horses to be entered, or no public money will be added. Any horse walking over will only receive 50 per cent, of the stake, No jockey allowed to ride except in the colors entered. All dogs found on the course will be destroyed. Racing will commence each day at 12 o'clock. gjp° No horse will be allowed to train on the Racecourse, except upon a payment of a fee of £1 to the Secretary, who will issue tickets of admission.
