The Nigger is a jet black horse, 15 2£ hands lush, 3 years old, and was sold at Mr Lee's s.ife in Sydney, two years ago, as a yearling to Mr Joseph Thomson, the great bookmaker, ior 420 guineas ; the highest priced yearling at the sale. Terms— £s ss. Geoom's Fee — ss, Payable on or before the Ist February, 1876. A good Paddock will be provided for Mares at 2s 6d per week. All attention will be paid to them, without responsibilty. He is a beautiful bay roan, five years old, with black points, excellent temper and constitution, with immense substance. He gainod the second prize to his sire at the Chistchurch and Kaiapoi Show in 1869. Quicksilver, imported . by J. Ladbrooke, Esq., in 1864, was bred by James Coker, Esq., Dowaan, near Lin, Norfolk ; got by Prickwillow, champion of England (considered by competent judges to be the best sire of his day) ; his dam by Old Merrylegs, by Lottery ; grandsire, Performer ; great.grandsire, Pretender. Young Pretender, Quicksilver's own brother, obtained first prize at the Royal Agricultural Show at Leeds, and was afterword sold to go to France for £750. Quicksilver has fceen awarded first prize every year against all comers wherever shown. Paddocks provided at current rates. Every care taken, but no responsibility. Terms— One mare, £4 4s ; two do, £7 7s j three or more, £3 3s each. Mares not stinted in accordance with the above terms will be served gratis next year. All accounts payable on or before Ist February, 1876, except the groomage fee of ss, which is payable at the time of first service.
