FRANCE.
Two editors (of L'TJnion and Le Pays) fought a duel with swords near the frontier of Lorraine. The meeting arose out of a dispute respecting the , recent executions by Don Carlos. I Riots have been excited by certain I passages in the drama called " CromI weJl," and its further representation has been forbidden. M. Tissandier, the survivor of the terrible balloon catastrophe on 16th April, has written a detailed account ot the orcurrence. He was insensible for two hours, and on becoming conscious found his companions dead. r lhe funeral, at Pere la Chaise, was attended by a vast crowd ; 30,000 f have leen subscribed for the families of the deceased aereonauts.
