Wellington, Tuesday Sailed, at 3.20 p.m.. the Alhatnbra for Ljttelton, with 357 packages of cargo, transhipped from the Hindoßtan, for the Bluff. A locomotive made here at MilJs's foundry was teßted to-day, and has proved a complete success. It is intended for the Manawatu and Foxton railway. Blenheim, Tuesday. In the Wairau election all the returns are now in ; they give Mr Ward a majority of 25 over Mr Moorehouse. Nelson, Tuesday. The Governor and suite sailed in the Luna at noon. She will anchor during the night in the French Pass.
