Trade demand good. Preserved Meats.— Boiled beef without bone, 21b tins, is worth 7£d per lb. There is a fair trade demand. Wheat-^-Market flat. Copper. — Wallaroo is worth £96 per ton. New Zealand hemp continues dull of sale. Kauri Gum. — Stock according to last returns, 1000 tons." Manilla advices, to 29th September, state that the Kasea had sailed for Melbourne with 3,910 piculs of sugar and 65,600 cigars. The Ludovic et Charles was loading. Sugars were firm at -a slight advance. Batavia circulars to October 22 report that the Canny Scot had sailed for Melbourne with 480 tons of sugar and 12 tons of rattans. The Haidee, Adelphoi, Sunda, India, Dandati, Albyn's Isle, Mocq Bailey, and steamer Flintshire were loading for Melbourne and Sydney.
