Macrorie, auctioneer, reports :— The attendance last Saturday at the Albion yards indicates a good demand for draught horiei, which was fully borne out by the spirited bidding which followed. As a whole, the stamp was not up to present requirements, one lot alone reaching an offar of £60, which was declined, as was also the case with the next at £42. A very large number, however, passed the hammer, sales of stock reaching in the aggregate a sum of £700 ; for draughts, prices varied from £25 to £35, and for light from £12 to £20. A team of six, with timber waggon and harness, realised £227 10s ; and two drays Bold respectively at £10 and £17. In a few weeks lam expecting to oner a direct importation from Tasmania, selected with a due regard to age, soundness, and staunch qualities. The farm at Woodlands did not receive the attention it deserved, and was considered the cheapest property sold for some time, at the bid of 50s per acre. Invercargill, July 17, 1874. At sales by auction, Hennessey's pale brandy fetched 10s 5d per gallon ; old torn, 12s per dozen ; and 22 cases port and sherry, 29s per dozen. Oats realised from 49 9d to 5s per bushel.
