DIPHTHERIA.
(to the editor op the times.) Sib,— Undoubtedly diphtheria has a strong hold in our midst, and if it holds its way in the winter, the probobilities are that it will be much worse to break down in the spring. I have • large family, and feel that should we take it there would be great danger to all. Isolation of cases in their earliest stage appears to be the most reasonable course to pursue, but I am helplesa — I cannot get a house or even a room in town or country. Every other family in the town is in a similar position. If the Board of Health intend to do anything that will be effectual, it trust be in the direction of isolating the eases. I believe there is room in the Hospital, which could be made a kind of quarantine ground. 'Without regard to small difficulties that may stand in the way, we should at once have the full benefit of an institution fhat can never ba more useful than now. — I am, &C, Fathbß.
