QUEENSLAND.
Bbisbaite, May 4. A new Ministry has been formed as follows : — The Hon. A. Palmer, Premier j |Mrß. Eamsay, Treasurer; Mr Walsh, Minister of Public Works ; Mr Thomson, Minister of Lands ; Mr Bramston, Attorney- G-eneral ; Mr T. L. M. Prior, Postmaster-General. The Ministry is considered experienced, and respectable. Mr Palmer was Colonial Secretary of the Ministry previous to the, one just "defeated. Mr Prior was formerly the head of the department he now presides over. Mr Thomson has held the position of Chairman of Committees, and Mr Bramston , has, also been in office. ! ' •■■■.. May 7. There has been no quorum in the Assembly for the last two days, and; the Gpvenor has prorogued it by proclamation. The squatting interest is considered far too prominent in the new Ministry. Four members are connected with extensive stations. ______«
