LONDON GRAIN MARKET.
Messrs Miles Brothers and Co. report : — Wheat is a slow sale at the prices quoted in our last. Flour we value at 33s to 35s per 2801bs. Of the large cargoes from South Europe on passage lately some half has arrived, and will take time to be consumed. We can see no real improvement for the next three months, when the weather may affect value. Messrs Burrows and Perks remark:— The wheat aid flour trade has been very dull, with a further slight downward tendency in prices since last mail left. At present everything points to a farther slight fall (say 1b to 2a per qr.) on wheat during the next two or three months^ The best Adelaide wheat would meet a demand here at {torn 45s to 47s per 496 lbs landed, but there has been none here for some months past. Adelaide flour would be worth from 32s to 34s 6d per 2801bB net* in granary. The small parcel per Ethiopian, from Melbourne, is still unsold. Oats are in rather better demand, feut no improvement in value can be noted. Although we cannot see a prospect of much better prices for wheat, still, if prices in the Colonies should fall to 3s 8d or 3s lOd per bushel of 601bs in bags and shipped, and freights do not rule too high, say from 45s to 52s 6d per ton of 22401b5, shipments of good quality to this country must leave a small profit at least.
