RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THURSDAY, 28th NOVEMBER. (Before H. M'Culloch, Esq., 8.M.) CiViL Case. DE LACY V. PELLING. Claim for £6 7s 4d, two months wages as cook. The defendant pleaded that the plaintiff had left his service without giving notice, although he had cautioned her that she would receive no wages if she did so. The evidence in the case proved that the plaintiff made use of abusive language to her master on his finding fault with her, and refusea to go on with her work. Judgment for the defendant with costs. On the Resident Magistrate pronouncing judgment, Mr Felling said he should give the money to the Hospital, and deposited a cheque for the amount in the Hospital box lying on the Court table.
