Sale of the Oberlin's cargo of Sugar postponed ; the Isabella with a cargo of Sugar for Dunedin, has put in at Melbourne. At the nomination of candidates for the Council yesterday, the show of hands were as follows :— Graham, 5 ; Grant, 16 ; Reynolds, 200 : Duncan, 150 ; Yogel, 155 ; lurner, 135 ; Sibbald, 205 ; Bell, 72 ; Kidston, 79 ; Miller, 97 ; Carrick, 31 ; Barnet, 143 ;C. Smith, 91 j Boss, 42 ; Hogg, 76 ; TurnbuU, 217 ; M'lndoe, 196 ; Cargill, 25. Proceedings lasted two hours. Poll to-morrow. Sydney — Latest Dates. — Rice scarce, and in demand ; Corn Sacks, 14s 6d ; at auction, new Teas bought in ; Marrion's Ale, £9 10s ; I Adelaide Wheat, firmer, 4s lid ; Flour, £10 to £11.
