TENDERS will be received at this Office till noon of the" 30th November, from parties willing to furnish a Steam Tug for the service of the ports of New River and Bluff Harbor, for a period of not less than six months from date of acceptance of contract. THE Government of Southland having issued instructions to the Home Agents t) lay on vessels from Great Britain, direct for the Bluff, with immigrants, the attention of parties interested in the Province is directed to the following Section of Instructions to Immigration Agents— namely, " Persons residingin the Province of Southland, desirous of assisting their friends to immigrate tothe Province, may obtain for them assisted passages hither, by pre-paying one-third ofthe passage money, and. accepting a Bill for the remaining two-thirds, drawn by tlie Provincial Treasurer, and endorsed by a substantial householder, 'residing .in the Province, and approved of by the Superintendent as sufficient securily for the same. " In the event of p irties not availing themselves of such assisted passages within twelve months, their certificates may be cancelled, and the prepaid amount returned to the Applicants." Passages at the rate of £15 10s per statute adult, of which one-third (£5 3s 4d) to be prepaid.
