AMERICA. INVASION OF THE NORTH BY THE CONFEDERATES. New "York, 16th June. General Lee, with 100,000 men, invaded the Northern States. He occupied Higherstow Marsh, in Maryland, Chambersburg and Green Castle, Pennsylvania. He has infested Harper's Ferry. Hooker's whole army had left Falmoutb, and arrived at Fairfax. President Lilcoln had called out a force of 120,000 militia, and the Governors of the different States responded promptly. The Federal news from Vicksburg and Fort Pudson is unimportant. Richmond papers assert that General John* son was reinforced at Vicksburg with 19,000 men, A Federal expedition had left Yorktown, and was advancing towards Richmond.
