The O'Donouhue has been involved in a controversy with Dr. MoriarU', the Catholic Bishop of Kerry, in consequence of his conduct in defeating the object of the promoters of the Lancashire relief mee'ing at Tralee. It will be remembered that Dr Moriarty was one of the piomoters of the meeting, >'nd received rather coarse treatm nt at the tongues of the roushs in the meeting, the friends of The O'JJonoghue. An addre-s has since then been presented to him by he more orderly of his diocese, and in reply to it he gives a severe castigation to The O'Donoghue and his pupporters. The bishDp speaks of them as l; fomenters of mischief," whose " only object is to keep up hatred, and to prevent the growth of friendly feeling between England and Ireland." These are some of the milder expressions in the letter. In reply to this, The O'Donoghue states that the action of the meeting, and not the address to the bishop, represented the real sentiments of the people of Tralee. The lion. Colonel Hare is a courageous man. He is now personally engaged in collecting the rents on his estates in Tipperary, where his agent, Mr. Braddell, was murdered, not willing to expo«e any other gentleman to a similar fate. He goes about well aimed, unA receives his rent* without delay. lie kindly allows a K-nsion of £100 a year to the widow of Mr. Braddell. A Clonmel paper states that ejectments are pending against ceitain tenants, and he has resolved himself to run whatever risk may be incurred in carrying out the proceedings. It is said that the wife of Hayes has actually presented a petition to Colonel Hare, begging hi nn to allow her to reaiain on her husband's farm.
