Plans and specifications relating thereto may be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, where forms of tender (for filling up) may be obtained. 215. Invercargill Jetty — Laying double line of tramway on jetty, building goods warehouse, and constructing roadways, as per specification to be seen at the offica of the Provincial Engineer. Tenders will be received till noon of 7th April next. 220. Forage— Extension of Time — Separate tenders will be received till noon of the 7th inst., for supplying the Government stables m such quantities as may from time be time be required between 31st March and 30th June following, with — Hay, best oaten and meadow, at per ton Oaten Hay — Fresh cut. at per ton Oats, best, per bushel of 40 lbs. Bran, fresh, per bushel. Maize, crushed and sound, at per bushel (stating weight). 221. Gaoler's Uniforms — Extension of Time — Tenders will be received at this office, till ' noon of 7th inst., for the supply of coats or jumpers, caps and trousers. Particulars as i to quantity, pattern and materials, &c, may be learnt on application hereat. 222. Campbell town — Addition to Barracks — j Four-stall stables — Plans and specifications to be seen on and after Wednesday, Bth inst. Tenders received till noon of 13th inst. 223. Miverton — Tenders will be received til noon of 13th inst., for the erection of a fourstall stable as per plan and specification to j be seen here or at the office of Messrs Surtnan and Crerar after Wednesday next. 224. Road between Biverton and Otautan River — Gravelling alt euherts and approaches their whole lengths 16 teet wide, 1 foot deep m centre, 8 inches at sides. Specification may be seen here and at Messrs Surman and Crerar's, Eiverton. Tenders received till noon of 11th inst. HIS Honor the SupERrNTENDENT directs it to be notified that a Reward of One Thousand Pounds will bo paid to any party who shall discover a paying goldfield within twelve months from the date her if, conditionally upon the discoverer or discoverers giving satisfactory proof to the Government that Sixteen Thousand Ounces ot Gold, the bona fide produce of that particular field (being within the Province of Southland) shall have been realized and brought to Invercargill within twelve months from the date of discovery thereof. "HEE Government of Southland being A. about to issue instructions to the Home Agents to lay on a Vessel from the Clyde direct for the Bluff, with immigrants, the attention of parties interested m the Poovince is directed to the following sub-section 4, of clause Ist, of Instructions to Immigration Agents: — "4. Any persons residing m the province of Southland, desirous of assisting their friends m the United Kingdom to immigrate to the province, m y obtain for them assisted passages hither by drawing a bill for the full amount of the passage - money to the order of the Provincial Treasurer of Southland, accepted by a substantial householder, also resident m the province, ana approved of by the Superintendent as sufficient security for the same. The drawer of any such bill will then receive an order to the Immigration Agent, authorising him to give a free passage to the Province of Southland to any person or persons named therein; and any residents m Suuthland will be able to assist their friends to immigrate to the Province by undertaking to repr.y the whole of the passage-money iv the manner above provided." Bills will be made out at the rale of £15 10s per statute adult. Applications must be made at this office before the 12th day of April next. By order, H. A. GILLER, Clerk to the Superintendent.
