NOTICE TO MARINERS.
(From the Otago Provincial Government Gazette.) Chief Marine Board Office, Auckland, 3rd Feb. 1803. Captain J. M'Lean, s.s. Aldinga, reports that on S4th August last, the above vessel struck a sunken rock on tho South coast of Otaga, about three milp9 from the shore, Slope Point, bearing N.E. by E. and Waipapa point F.W. £ W., with twelve fathoms close to. The rock must have been small acd pointed as the steamer struck it amid ships, slewed round, and fell off head to sea. By order of tho Roarfi, Thomas Robertson, Secretary, pro. tem. . « 1 i
