LENDERS for the Undermentioned JL Works will be received at this Office, up to the respective dates affixed, where plans and spa Cifications relative thereto may be eeen, and ful particulars obtained : — 126. Campbelltown Road.— Earthwork on and near the Mokomoko Range; cuttings on hill; about 30 chains length in all, estimated to contain 8,000 cubic yards, partly stone; constructing 2 culverts of rubble stone; covering the roadway, about 75 chains, with Manuka fascines, 1 foot thick, and forming thereon, and on the natural surface, for 18 chains at the south end of bush — with the material from the cutting — embankments averaging 21 feet wide and 1 foot 6 inches high at crown, about 90 chains in all; metalling the whole length, 123 chains, with stone from the cuitings (broken to pass through a 3-inch ring.) 14 feet wide, 8 inches deep in centre, and 6 inches at sides Tenders may be delivered till Ist December. 127. Sheep Hurdles.— Required from 80 to 100, to be delivered at the Bluff within one month, till noon of 21st inst. 130. Great North Road.— Cutting Outfall Drain from road where it leaves the Winton Bush on the North, about 8 chains. Cut Side Drains leading into the above, 30 feet apart, 6 chains on each side, — all to be 3 feet deep, 1£ feet wide on bottom, and 4 feet 6 inches on top; all sound material from side drains to be evenly spread on the road, with 1 foot rise in the middle. — Construct Bridge over Creek about 1 mile north of the above; 1 bay 15 feet span, and 2 of 12 feet span ; approaches to be filled in with sound materinl 1 foot over the bridge, and sloping away at both ends to meet the roads — 110 links in all. — A similar Bridge in every respect to bo constructed about 2\ miles north of the above. Till noon of the 20th inst. 131 (1). Campbelltown Road. — About half-way between Invercargill and the Bluff. — Cutting Side Drains from the Outfall Drain North, to the edge of the Terrace, about 16 chains on each side. (2) Cutfing Side Drains South from Outfall Drain, 50 chains on each side of road; size, 2 feet wide at bottom, 5 feet 6 inches on top, 3 feet 6 inebps deep, and 30 feet apart ia the clear. All the material taken therefrom to be thrown upon the road, and spread evenly over it with one foot rise in centre. The above may be tendered for in one or two lots, as numbered, at per chain, till noon of 21st fnstant. 132. Campbelltoicii Road. — In Bush, South of M'Hardy's Cove. — Cutting Side Drains as above from the Beach off M'flardy's Cove to where the road cut through the Bush again meets the Beach, about 37 chains on each side of road, at per chain, till noon of 21st instant. 133. Cutting do. do. South of the above, about 27 chains, till noon of 21st inst. 134. Saddlery. — Tenders will be received till noon of 20th instant for Supplies nnd Repairs of Saddlery to 30th of March next. 135. Blacksmith's Work. — Tenders will be received till noon of 20th instant for Blacksmith's Work, Shoeing Government Horses, &c, from date of contract to 30th March next. | 136. Hay. — Persons desirous to supply the Provincial Government Stables with Best Meadow or Oaten Hay, either in bulk or in such quantities ns may be from time to time required, may deliver Tenders stating price per ton till noon of 22nd instant. 140. Great North Road — Clearing Bush. — Lot 1. Commencing 6£ or 7 miles north of Winton Bush Outting, or 465 links south i of Station Peg No. 30 ; bush to be felled i 66 feet wide, 30 feet in centre, to be cleared level with the surface of the ground ; all obstructions on roadway to be burnt or removed from off the surface— 2s Chain?. Lot 2. Ditto ditto, in continuation of Lot 1—25 Chains. Lot 3. Ditto ditto, in continuation of Lot 2, comprises 2,590 links bush, 228 links of scrub, and 1,232 links very light burnt scrub and flax — in all, 4Q£ Chains. The above may be tendered for in one lot or separately as numbered, till noon of 21th instant. Forms of Tender (for filling up) may be obtained at this office.
