INVERCARGILL, July 18. The jury found that the death of Mrs Sneyd was caused by a signal rocket fired by Captain McGilvray, and also expressed the opinion that the police showed neglect in not enforcing their powers. Captain McGilvray was charged with manslaughter, and remanded for a week on bail of two sureties of £IOO, which were forthcoming.
