WASHDYKE SALE,

There was a good yarding at the Washdyke saleyards yesterday, consisting principally of just the lines that butchers require. The latter operated freely, and a very good sale was the result. In sheep, two-tooth fat ewes sold at 17s, 17s 4d to 17s 6d; fat ewes, 16s 6d; four and sixtooth wethers at 17s. In cattle, cows in profit changed hands at £5 10s to £5 12s 6d, and a cow newly calved at £7 2s 6d.
