It burned the stores and bond of D. Cohen cud Company, with its immense stock, including large quantities 'of matches and sulphur; and destroyed the buildings which were five stories high. The firemen, owing to primitive appliances, were unable to cope with the fire, and concentrated their effor's or. saving the surrounding buildings.
