TIMARU v. TEMUKA. The match between the Timaru and Temuka Clubs was played at Temuka yesterday on a poor wicket. Both teams made indifferent scores in the first innings, but considering the wicket the Timaru batsmen scored well in their incompleted second innings. The visitors won on the first innings by 51 to 36. The scores were:— .Timaru, first innings.—J. N. Adcock 6, G. P. Wood 17, Rolleston 2, Dr Reid 15, Turnbull 3, Lynch (not out) 1; Macintosh, Jefferson, Cox, Wright and Kalaugher, each 0;• extras 7; total 51. Temuka.—Fielden 10, Cuff 4, Mendelson 7, McLeod 8, Lavery 2; D. McCaskill,, J. McCaskill, Holwell, T. Brown, and Lee, each 0; extras 5: total 36. For Temuka D. McCaskill took three wickets for 0, Fielden 3 for 13, Brown 2 for 12, Lavery 1 for 19.
