(gHE HOME MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety report under date London, Friday:—“ The fiozen lamb market is strong owing to small stocks. Prime New Zealand crossbreds are worth Sjd to 6d per lb. Prices of frozen beef are a shade easier, while frozen mutton prices are firm. The wheat market is weak, with a downward tendency.”
ALBURY SALE,
The entry of sheep at the Albury yards yesterday was a small one, the only lines represented being ewes and lambs, a few shorn wethers (fat), and two pens of fat and forward wethers. Fat wethers (butchers’ sheep) brought 16s sd, full-mouthed ewes in the wool with lambs sold at 10s 3d, all counted. A line of fat and forward fourtooth wethers (shorn) were passed at 15s 9d, not reaching owners’ reserve. The entry of cattle was a moderate one. Fat cows sold at £5 5s to £5 10s; store cows, £3 10s to £4; yearling cattle, £2 to £2 6s.
