MAIL NOTICES.
Subject to any necessary alteration* jpiils will close as under : ■ Monday, December 3rd. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, United States of America, Canada, jWest Indies, etc. (via San Francisco), Hawaiian Islands, Japan and Samoa, per north Express, connecting with Alameda from Auckland, as follows : —Ordinary letters at 4 p.m.; registered letters, money orders, book-packets and newspapers, at 3.30 p.m.; late fee letters at C.P.O. till 4.45 p.m., and at mail van north express till 5.7 p.m. Due in London January 4th. The next parcel mail for the United King dom will close at Timaru on December 4th, at 4 p.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Hauroto, close at Auckland on 28th inst., at 8 p.m Mails for South Africa, per Australasian, leave Melbourne on December Bth. 1 Mails for Raratonga and Tahiti, per Ovalau, close at Auckland on December 18th, at 4 p.m. In order to ensure connection with fast steamer at New York the next San Francisco mail will be despatched from Auckland on 6th prox., instead of Bth prox.
