Queensland sends a contingent of 75 military men and 25 naval men to the Commonwealth celebrations. Received 12.35 a.m., November 26th. LORD HOPETOUN. Mr Chamberlain lias cabled that Lord Hopetoun hopes to be able to land upon arrival in Sydney, but will not be in a position to attend the banquets and make speeches until his strength is restored. Received 1.5 a.m., November 26th. ACCIDENTS ON THE CYCLING TRACK. MELBOURNE, November 25. The opening of the East Melbourne Cycling track was marked by a series of accidents. Parsons and Green (the English crack) broke their arms, Goodson dislocated an arm and a finger; and a number of others were badly hurt. THE PACIFIC CABLE.
Mr Chamberlain has cabled to the Lieu-tenant-Governor that the Imperial Government have accepted a_ tender for the Pacific cable, but does not mention the amount or any details.
