Cannell) ... 23 We are informed that the barque Liv arrived Home about a fortnight ago. The little schooner Liv has returned to Stewart Island. The Taranaki was ready for sea to-day, but the weather being thick, with no wind, . her departure for Gisborne was postponed. The s.s. Upolu arrived from Dunedin at mid-day. She had 160 tons to land, including transhipments from Auckland (chiefly 67 tons sugar) and Wellington, and ex Mokoia from Melbourne. She loads 200 tons outwards.
The s.s. Janet Nicoll is due here on Monday to load cargo for Napier and Greymouth only. Owing to pressure of time she will not call at Lyttelton and Wellington this trip.
