THE WALKING SHOW.
The annual parade of stud horses was held this morning in the usual paddock off Grey Road. The weather was very cold, and a result of it was that many of the horses were not seen at their best. They belong to the Waimato district, and came out from Home last year. Other horses to attract more than usual attention were Young Extinguisher and Welcome Willie. Among the “hackneys” there were a couple of new ones, Forrester and Saeramento, the former a coacher and the latter a trotter. So far as this district is concerned the most important class is the draughts, and judging by the lot shown this morning, breeders should have no difficulty in getting some
first class sires.
