Sydney, January 6, The Torch’s officers report that the Samoan arrangement is popular with the Germans and the Mataafan party, and unpopular with the English presidents. Received January 6th, 11.30 a.m.JjJS GREAT STORM. * Melbourne, January 6. Delayed reports show that a severe storm swept the country districts on Wednesday, doing great damage to crops and property. Many buildings were blown down or unroofed. The wind was so strong that waggons and horses were overturned.
