FOOTBALL.

jA match was played on Wednesday between the Main School first and a mixed second from the H igh School. It resulted in a win for the High School by 25 points 4o five. Tries were obtained for the winners by Mundell, captain (2), Scannell, Gunn, Stewart and Talbot, and three were converted, two by Mundell, and one by Callender. For the Main School Orwin scored a try, which was converted. For the Main School Macphcrson, Tennent, Arscott and Bradley played best. Mr W. Boys made a capital referee, and Messrs _Tennent and A. O. Blake were line umpires, but did not keep the line clear enough.
