[to the bditoe.] Sib, —'Your reporter evidently misunderstood the nature of my objection to the report of the committee ve aided schools presented to the Education Board on 7 Wednesday. It was not to the Clause giving the teachers the option o£ retaining their present positions, etc., but to the proposition to give them at once three months’ notice to terminate their services. It will. be noticed that the whole of the: recommendations relating to teachers were struck out. lam, etc., J. Tahbot. Temuka, February 3rd, 1899.
