THE PAYNE FAMILY.
Those well-known entertainers, the Payne Family, bell-ringers and all-round musicians, vocal and instrumental, are announced to appear at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday and Thursday next, in their everywhere approved drawingroom entertainments. They have just returned from a tour of the British Isles and two visits to South Africa, and have brought with them the latest popular Lond- n songs and melodies. Mr Payne has brought out a new set of hand bells (75) and also a set of sleigh bells, specially cast for him in London, and considered the finest in the world. The well-won popularity of this musical company in New Zealand will ensure them good patronage on their visiting Timaru. The company now numbers seven, three ladies and four gentlemen, each of them taking an independent as well as a cooperative share in the production of each evening’s entertainment.
