Hospital Trustees.

The monthly meeting of the Waimate Hospital Trustees was held on Wednesday. Present—Messrs Douglas (chair). Walker, Menderson, Stndholme, Petit, Atvill aid Hardle. The searetary reported that Mr E. J. ▲twill hai| been elected one of the subon the Waimate The secretary then took the chair and asked fornbminations for chairman. Messrsßihclair and Atwill were nominated and Mr Sinclair elected. Mr Sinclair then took the chair. The sjajgeon’s and matron’s reports were readand approved. The Hod. Major Steward wrote acknowledging receipt of resolution of public meeting re Hospitals Amendment Act. ; W The Booth Canterbury Charitable Aid Board I forwarded cheque for £l7B 7s, being payment of maintenance. Messrs Priest and Holdgate wrote asking if'j the Board would have the horsehair which had been received from Home teased. -The cost would be lid per lb. It was resolved to have the work done. Itwas resolved that tenders be called for painting and cleaning floor of male ward, and a committee was appointed to accept' tenders. A report was read from Dr Barclay calling attention to the frlction existing the matron and probationer nurses tfc the hospital. A committee consisting of the chair- ’ man, and Messrs Hardfe, Atwill, Studholme. and Petlt, were appointed to investigate the matter. Visitors were appointed, and accounts for £7oss lld were passed for payment. The meeting then closed.
