Charavey, a writing expert, who testified that the famous bordereau was in Dreyfus’ handwriting, has now given evidence that the writing was doubtful, and said that he must re-examine the docurpent. M. Mazean’s report says that the threats to murder the Judges of the Criminal Court led to them appointing Maitre Bard as reporter to the Court. The latter was unmarried, and if murdered fewer persons would be bereaved. Received February 3rd, 12.30 a.m. - M. Jfean Cruppi, the member for Toulouse and secretary of the Deputies Committee on M. Lebret’s Bill, has prepared an amendment obliging the Court of Cassation itself to decide the innocence or guilt of Dreyfus. The Premier
and a majority of the Cabinet favour tl amendment, but M. Lebret declined accept it. M. Beaurepaire declared ti the criminal chamber of the Court, 1 fore hearing M. Bard’s report or exam ing the dossier, resolved to pronour Dreyfus innocent. .Received February 3rd, 12.40 a.m. M. Blowitz, the Paris correspond* of the Times, says that M.
