Jan, 24—Herald, s.s., 376 tons, Jones, for the north. IMPORTS. In the Herald, N.M. and A. Co., agents : 20 tons sundries. Taylor, Wilson, Herald, Hernohan and Co., Keddie, Blythe, Twomey, Penrose, Woollen Co. EXPORTS. In the Herald, N.M. and A. Co., agents: 74 tons flour, 3* tons meal, 525 sks bran and pollard, 216 sks wheat, 100 sks oats, 320 sks chaff, 1 truss woollens. The Brunner, expected to-morrow, has 280 tons of coal to land here for the Westport Coal Company. The s.s. Herald arrived late on Saturday evening from Oamaru, and was at once berthed and worked. She got away for the north about 1 o’clock yesterday morning. The refrigerator ship Turakina presents a curious appearance iust now, as seen from a distance, as she is very much bow down and stern up. Her machinery being all forward accounts for this.
