T. AbO J. THOMSON'S SPECIALS. PRICE THE BEST SALESMAN. ALL-ROUND SOLID VALUE DOES IT. WE make no change in our methods. Seasons change. Fashions change. People may change, but there is only one way of doing tilings properly. We have had a good season. There has been a continual opening of heavy purchases from England, from Ireland, from Scotland, the Continent of Europe, United States, Australian Continent, and with it all have left room to bring heavy clearing lines here at end of the season. Notably in Dresses and Furnishings have we been on the up grade. The profits are not large, but the quantity turned out is. In Millinery our superior styles and low prices have affected the sales materially, and we anticipate a complete clearance by the end of the season. Look at windows, they will bear inspection. Waterproofs, Capes, Blouses, Mantles, Costumes, we hold in splendid variety, and in these classes special concessions have been secured. Price for Capes begins at 7s lid. Price for Blouses begins at Is 6d. To Country Customers, to Townspeople, to all classes we say see our Stock. We have no travellers, but inspect the Patterns. Compare the Prices. Look at the Stuff and judge for yourselves. Do not take us at our own valuation. WE KEEP ONLY ENTIRELY RELIABLE GOODS. Material that can be knocked about for years and then come up smiling. Ex Star of Victoria, 30 doz Cashmere Hosiery, 2 prs for 2/634 pieces Dress Goods, received Friday, deserve more than a passing notice. They were cleared at one-third their value all round. Imagine a Chend Stuff, double width, 7id, or 4s 6d for 7 full yards. Serges, Cashmere, Boucld, at 10id, Is, Is 3d, Is 6d, Is lid. Some 3s lid goods are included and no fault whatever. Bought for cash. 2000 yards White Pinafore & Dress Muslins, 6yds for ls4id and upwards. 112 Silk Brocade Is lid, usual price 4s 6d. 20 boxes Flowers, an absurd price. 300 Handkerchiefs, 6 for Is 3d, etc. 500 Black Silk Lace. 1 piece only Black Silk. Lace Flouncing, Is 4id. 72 Nainsook Muslin, Sid. White and Navy Drills, 6id. Black Satin Cloths, 50 to 54-inch, Is 3d, 2s 6d. 20 Children’s Hats and Bonnets, an oddment. 16 White and Coloured Quilts. Table Damask and Napery from Belfast and Brechin. Bows, Clasps, Tweeds, Nets, Gimps, Belts. Baby Linen and Corsets. Get one of our Serge Costumes, any colour, made to order complete, 19s lid ; or An all-wool Foul 6 or French Stuff, for 23s lid; or A superior Black, any material, 29s 6d. And of course better if desired. It will be difficult to ask for anything in demand in which we have not a full stock. Fact, not Fiction, is the motto. T. AND J- THOMSON, THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE.
