CRICKET.

IN\ ERCARGILL, February 19.
The weather is splendid for the match Otago v. Southland. The latterwinning the toss went to the wickets. At the luncheon adjournment they had 9 wickets down for 74 runs, the principal scores being Fox, 26, and Burns, 16. The wicket is in good order. Otago’s fielding was loose at the start but improved as the game progressed, with the result that two men were run out. Parker took 3 wickets and Baker 2.
