A general meeting of delegates of country racing clubs of the South Island was held to* night. The Ashburton, Fairlie Greek, South Canterbury, Geraldine, Ellesmere, Albury, Beefton, and Wyndham Racing Clubs, and the North Canterbury Steeplechase Club were represented. Che rules as drafted by a subcommittee were passed, and a motion was carried requesting the metropolitan clubs in the Mouth Island to forthwith give effect to the resolution passed at the last racing conference with reference to giving country clubs representation on the conference.
