Best hullooKs brought £8 10s to .£lO sa, extra heavy to 15s, medium £5 15s to £7 10s, light 7s 6d to .£slos, cows from .£3 2s 6d to .£6l2s 6d. FAT SHEEP. . 1233 wore penned, all crossbreds. Prices showed a slight advance on last week, nearly the whole being taken up by the trade. Best crossbred- wethers in the wool brought 18s fid to 20s, medium 15s 6d to 17s 6d, best do shorn 12s 6d to 14a, best do ewes in the wool 16s fid to 19s fid, medium 14s fid to 15s 9d, best do shorn 12s 3d to 13s 6d, medium 10s 9d to 12s, a few merino wethers in the wool to 9s 3d. GRAIN. Wheat—The market if anything seems weaker, but stocks are not excessive. Any sales of prime milling that are effected are at the following quotations: —Beat Tuscan 3s 9d to 3s lOd, best white velvet 3s 8d to 3s lOd, medium to good 3s 5d to 3a 7d, best red straw (nominal) 3s 3d to 3s 4d, medium 3s Id to 3s 2d, inferior 2s 9d to 3s, ex store. Oats—A fair business is passing in these. Prices have been on the whole well maintained. There is a moderate demand for export, more especially for bright heavy short'feed and milling. Prime milling Is 3|d to Is 4d, best short feed Is 3d to Is 3fcd,-medium and discoloured Is 2d to la 2£d, black Is 23 to la 2Jd, musty and inferior Is to Is Id, ex store (sacks extra). , , , " Barley—The market is bare of oboxce malting, small parcels of which conld be placed. Reed and milling have a moderate demand, bnt at somewhat unsatisfactory prices to the grower. Quotations are —for prime malting 2s fid to 2s 9d, medium 2s to 2s 3d, inferior Is fid to Is 9d, ex store.
